 Ericka & Sherry are my new heroes! Both deaf and Ericka, on the left is blind. On a recent evening they were eating on table #1 and signing back and forth. I watched Ericka hold Sherry's hand as she was reading what Sherry was signing to her. I sat at the counter so amazed by what is was seeing, it was so much more than  being grateful for what I have.... It was all about Ericka's PASSION to embrace & live life in the midst of the battle of just taking her next unknown step. Now couple that with Sherry's COMPASSION to be there for her friend Ericka, taking the time and effort to patiently explain every word and image to Ericka! What a friend...... I sat there moved to tears in seeing such a depth to life and friendship. These two are true BUD'S PIE ANGELS! |
